The Minister of Trade, Mari Elka Pangestu has issued the Seals specification for the year 2006. This is stipulated in the Regulation of Minister of Trade No 16/M-DAG/PER/8/2005. It covers Legal Seals, Cancellation Seal, Guarantee Seal, Regional Seal, and the Authorized Employee Seals for Measurement and Weigh Tools and the Equipments.

The regulation purpose is to ensure that all individual uses the compliance seals required in accordance with the prevailing seals in the year 2006. The affixing of a seal allows the community to be confident that the equipment subject to the seal has met the necessary certifiable standards for use and operation. (YKD)
