Jakarta Governor has recently issued Decision No. 2322 of 2004 on the Minimum Wage in the Building and Public Works Sector for Jakarta (the “Decision”). The Decision covers specifically employees within the building and public works sectors.

The Decision was signed by the Governor on 1 October 2004 and is enacted on 21^st of October 2004. The minimum wages range from IDR 34,760 to IDR 53,330 per day, depending on the worker’s position. Regular workers receive a lower-base wage while supervisors and heavy equipment operators receive higher base.

The attachment uses a daily rate for wage standards. Presumably this is to anticipate workers that are either formally or informally employed in the project or to incorporate those who are hired on specific daily contracts. (mma)
