Mr. Mochamad Fajar Syamsualdi is a Partner of the Firm. He graduated from Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia in 2005 and obtained LLM in law and economics from Queen Mary University of London in 2016. He has worked extensively on various industries in numerous types of multinational transactions. He represents clients in merger and acquisition, general corporate, finance, projects and natural resources work in Indonesia. Mr Syamsualdi has considerable experience in M&A transactions, where he was involved in several bank acquisition transactions as well as the brand acquisition by a multinational consumer product company. He acted for a foreign client in acquiring Indonesian EPC Company and a foreign private equity in subscribing shares in an Indonesian listed mobile phone distributor. He advises clients on energy-related transactions, among others, financing for coal mining companies, acquisition of coal mining companies and acquisition of power plants, acquisition and operation of palm oil plantation. He also acts for clients on corporate financing transactions, including advising Indonesian as well as international banks and financial institutions in various lending and restructuring transactions, and bonds offering. He has also had experiences in representing ECAs and lenders in several aircraft financing transactions. Mr Syamsualdi has also experience in capital markets practice, where he acts for Indonesian publicly-listed companies in rights issue, bond issues, conflict of interest transactions, affiliated transactions, material transactions and disclosure requirements in accordance with capital markets rules and regulations. Mr Syamsualdi has advised the Ministry of Finance of Republic of Indonesia as well as Indonesian Infrastructure Guarantee Fund in infrastructure projects with public-partnership partnership scheme. He has assisted clients in the preparation of documents for the project as well as advised on the regulatory issues of the project and its compliance with the Indonesian PPP regulations. He is admitted to practice in Indonesia and a member of the Indonesian Advocates Association - PERADI. He speaks Bahasa Indonesia and fluent in English.
